Speakers

Main Speaker
Andy McCourt

Andrew McCourt is married to Isabelle and together they have four children. He is the Senior Pastor of Christian Fellowship Church, Belfast. Being the father of four children life is never dull, however, he still finds the time to enjoy running, mountains and French food! Andy will be speaking about church: It has its faults, confounds its critics and outlasts its opponents – the church has the uncanny ability of bouncing back and storming through centuries of change and upheaval with an ancient purpose and renewed vigour. Unstoppable looks at some of the key elements that make the Church a force that cannot be halted, even with the complexities of aglobalised 21st Century!

Youth Speaker
Stuart Hawthorne

Stuart Hawthorne is husband to Caroline and daddy to Caleb (4) & Joel (3) with another little boy born in January named Eli James. A former secondary school teacher at Ulidia Integrated College in Carrickfergus, Stuart is Youth Pastor at Woodlands, having served in this full-time post since January 2008. Stuart is obsessed with all things rugby and is currently Head Coach of Carrickfergus RFC Under 19’s. Stuart loves to work out at the gym and is convinced that he is now well and truly addicted to coffee (but definitely not instant!). More passionate than ever about the gospel message, Stuart has a deep desire to see people come to know Jesus and experience the fullness of life that he alone can give.

Youth & Childrens Team 2012

Each year our Youth & Children’s Team inspires the rest of us with the work they accomplish with our young people.

Ever thought about joining this band of intrepid young people? Think you have what it takes?

Are you willing to share your faith in Jesus with children and young people?

Consider being a part of the Youth & Children’s team at Castlewellan Holiday Week. The Youth and Children’s programme is organised and run by a dedicated group of volunteers who work hard but have a lot of fun doing it!

The programme is split into different age groups and sessions run in the morning and evening (plus late nights for the teenagers). There are lots of opportunities for you to use your skills and talents as well as trying out new things. The programme includes drama, leading small groups, storytelling, puppets, music, prayer ministry, games and more!
